This file tells the  story of Pte Lawrence Saywell, the last Australian soldier killed in WW2 on 8 May 1944, VE Day, the day that all hostilities ceased in Europe.

The facts are confusing as to where he was killed, how he was killed and why his body remained in the school for 5 days before being buried.
